Electronic funds transfer (EFT) is a free and secure way to receive faster claim payments.
This payment method utilizes electronic means, rather than paper checks, to transfer monies between parties, thus eliminating wait times for postal delays.
With hurricane season here, we encourage you to complete an EFT enrollment—if you haven’t already—to help reduce potential interruptions in the event of a natural disaster.
HOW TO ENROLL
To enroll in EFT with Peoples Health:
- Complete an EFT enrollment form.
- Return the form to us with a voided check or bank letter.
- Email these materials to phn.provider@peopleshealth.com (preferred method) or fax to 504-849-6916.
Note: To take advantage of EFT, you also must be signed up with Change Healthcare to receive electronic remittance advice, or ERA (835 files), and your bank must be a participating member of the National Automated Clearing House Association.
To sign up with Change Healthcare:
- Complete either the institutional enrollment form or the professional enrollment form.
- The Peoples Health payer ID is 72126.
Once you enroll in EFT, you will receive electronic remittance advice starting with your first electronic payment. Note that it may take up to 30 business days to process your EFT enrollment request. Processing times may vary depending on the number of enrollment requests received, the accuracy of the information provided and form legibility.
